If you were affected by drone or missile strikes in Ukraine and want to know whether diverted American chip technology played a role, contact Watts Law Firm LLP to see if you may have a claim.
American semiconductor companies based in Texas sold high performance microchips through distributors and online channels that were known to be vulnerable to diversion. These components were essential to the operation of drones and missiles used by Russia in strikes against civilian neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, and public infrastructure. The lawsuit alleges that this outcome was foreseeable, preventable, and the result of corporate decisions that placed profit ahead of human life.
Who Are We After?
Watts Law Firm LLP is investigating claims against leading American semiconductor manufacturers, including Texas Instruments, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Intel, along with Mouser Electronics. We allege that these companies continued to sell high performance microchips through channels that were vulnerable to diversion, even after years of warnings that their products were turning up in foreign weapons systems.
Why Do We Fight?
This is not simply a case about gaps in a supply chain. It is about corporate decisions made here in the United States, in Texas, that knowingly sent lethal technology abroad to hostile actors, resulting in horrific death and destruction. These companies had the information they needed to act. They chose not to. When profit is placed above human life, the law must step in.
Watts Law Firm Trip To Ukraine
In order to investigate fully, Mikal Watts traveled from his home in Mountain Home, Texas to the heart of Ukraine. After almost 24 hours of travel, Watts and his team of attorneys and war crimes investigators arrived in Ukraine. They spent 9 days meeting with families and investigating missile and drone strikes. At the heart of this investigation, Watts’s team has found that these attacks were made possible by U.S. technology.

Meeting with Families
During their trip, the team met with several families and individuals that were directly impacted by drone or missile strikes. Some survived attacks that left them with significant physical injuries and lasting emotional trauma. Others lost loved ones when their homes, neighborhoods, or vehicles were struck.
Investigating War Crimes
In March 2023, the U.S. Institute of Peace released a report documenting the extensive use of American-made electronics in Iranian drones. Those drones, later modified and deployed by Russia, struck Ukrainian residential neighborhoods, children’s hospitals, residential playgrounds, and critical infrastructure.
The study found that 77 to 82 percent of the components recovered from downed drones originated from U.S. companies, including TI.

Hearing From Ukrainian Voices
Doctor Olha Babicheva
In this excerpt from a December 10th press conference, we hear from Ukrainian Doctor Olha Babicheva about her harrowing experience.
The United States has provided $175 billion in security assistance to Ukraine to defend itself from Russia, but most of the damage there is now being caused by missiles and drones guided to their targets by American chip technology illegally exported into Russia. Our lawsuits expose all this.
We are evaluating claims from Ukrainian civilians and families who suffered harm in drone or missile strikes where diverted American semiconductor technology may have been used. This includes:
Individuals who were physically injured in a drone or missile attack
Families who lost loved ones in strikes on homes, residential buildings, hospitals, schools, or other civilian locations
Survivors who experienced significant psychological trauma as a result of these attacks
Those who suffered property destruction or related economic losses tied to a documented strike
If you or someone you love was harmed in a qualifying attack, Watts Law Firm can review your circumstances and determine whether you may be eligible to participate in ongoing litigation.
Preserving key documentation can make a substantial difference in building a strong case. Plaintiffs do not need to gather everything before reaching out, but the following types of evidence are particularly useful:
Photos or videos of the attack site or resulting damage
Medical records documenting injuries or treatment received after the strike
Death certificates or funeral documentation for family members killed in the attack
Records of property loss or structural damage to homes, vehicles, or businesses
Any official reports, communications, or notifications related to the attack
You do not need to assemble all of this before contacting us. Our team can guide you through what is needed and help secure additional documentation where possible.
Watts Law Firm advances all necessary litigation costs. This is a contingency fee representation. If there is no recovery, you owe nothing. These cases require significant investigative work, expert analysis, and coordination with partners in the United States and Ukraine.
